Note from the artist: With this piece, there were two main goals I had in mind—to feature curly hair, and include bougainvilleas in some way. Bougainvilleas are a staple plant in Phoenix, AZ and I wanted to highlight something central to my hometown. The woman is surrounded by bougainvillea flowers, complete with a soft blue background and pink halo, with gold accents.
